British Endurance Championship – round 3 – Ferrari 458 GTC
Snetterton has always been a circuit that has been very kind to me and this weekend was no exception. David Mason and I were back in the MacConnal Mason Gallery Ferrari 458GTC that is superbly run by FF Corse.
The weekend was two 90 minute races on the 300 circuit. We didn’t test so qualifying was our first chance for any laps. We had a successful session, putting the car on overall pole position and our success continued for the whole event. After 2 exciting races we finished both as overall winners and extended our championship lead.
The car was faultless as ever. When you race as many cars as I do it’s always good to run with a team like FF Corse where you know everything is run to the highest standard. David drove his best races ever in my opinion and we left the weekend feeling very pleased indeed.
Next stop is Brands Hatch for the Aston Martin Owners Club 80th Anniversary Meeting where I’m back in the Morgan SLR. This follows our Spa trackday so it’s a packed schedule before the Goodwood Revival in the Maserati 6CM.
